10AM – 6 PM, Rain or Shine Make Music New York’s 9th Annual Punk Island, a celebration of all things punk! This year, back on Governors Island. (Ferries from Battery Park on the half-hour). For eight hours, bands will blanket Governors Island. The best way to understand what makes Punk Island such a special event is to attend and see the intensity and heart that all the bands, collaborators, fans, and community organizers bring to the day. Punk Island bridges the gaps between all the vibrant underground DIY scenes in NYC and the collective works hard all year to bring you the most expansive, not-for-profit, (arguably best) punk fest of the summer. punk-stages-2016
