David Rothenberg’s Inside the Bird Chorus
Celebrate the sounds of NYC’s avian life with Make Music New York’s encore presentation of Inside the Bird Chorus, a hypnotic program conceived by composer/clarinetist David Rothenberg as a dialogue between improvising musicians and native bird species as found in parkland settings throughout the five boroughs. Concerts take place either at dawn or dusk, the prime bird calling hours, and Rothenberg himself will perform at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.
