At various times throughout the day, mobile recording studios will magically materialize on sidewalks throughout NYC, manned by producers/engineers ready to record you and to engage all passersby that want to add a “musical track” to the mix. Drop in with your voice or instrument, come prepared with a tune or improvise; our teams will be prepared for any soundwaves you throw their way!
To add to the fun, producers will mix down all the captured materials into succinct five-minute compositions to be unveiled at the annual “Street Studio Listening Party” held at the Bang on a Can office (80 Hanson Place, in Fort Greene Brooklyn) on Friday, June 23rd, from 7pm-9pm. All Street Studio contributors are invited to attend.
Special thanks to Moog for supplying free copies of their latest Model 15 synth modeler app to all producers.
Stop by any or all of these Street Studios and be sure to visit MakeMusicNY.org for any late additions.
