Join us in aspecialcelebration of former Harlem residents, including Eubie Blake, Duke Ellington, George and Ira Gershwin, Oscar Hammerstein, II, Alonzo Hart, Richard Rodgers, Noble Sissel and Fats Waller – and the iconic music they brought from Harlem to Broadway.
The stage of the Richard Rodgers amphitheater, one of NYC’s premier outdoor venues located in historic Central Harlem’s Marcus Garvey Park, is the ideal location for this festival of music from the “Great White Way.”
Co-presenters Jazzmobile and the Marcus Garvey Park Alliance join forces for this One Night Only premiere presentation.

This marks the second year producer Roz Nixon and Harlem Council Member Bill Perkins have worked together to “Honor New York Elders” with a very special music program: Roz Nixon Entertainment (RNE) presents The Music of Motown with the cast of “Get Ready” featuring Martinez Little, Robert Williams and Kimberly Parrott. Attendees will dine abundantly on delicious treats from Harlem’s own Jacobs Soul Food Restaurant and Applebee’s of Valley Stream.
